Journey with me!

“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine

I have been a book worm my entire life; I was bit by the travel bug at 18 and haven’t stopped traveling, reading, or dreaming about traveling since. Before my kids were born, I vowed that children would not stop us from seeing the world. While I still love experiencing travel and cultures, how I travel has been adjusted. We slow things down… and rather than tackling a checklist at each destination, we dig our toes in and live. I was afraid that this would make me feel like I was missing out, while in reality, I feel like we have had more real and lasting connections.

Throw into the mix a child with type 1 diabetes, another with dairy intolerances, and my own ever-growing list of intolerances makes travel seem daunting at best. It’s a good thing I’m tenacious (hubs would say stubborn) and love sharing my joy of travel with anyone that will listen. (I have many wonderfully patient friends and family who have humored me over the years as I mooned over one place or another.) Through careful planning and research, I have successfully planned travel abroad and around the U.S., bringing us closer together as a family while exploring cultural and natural wonders our world offers. Thanks for joining me in our adventures, tips & tricks, and dreams of travel to come.
