Who Am I?
I’m Caroline Rausch, a travel-obsessed mother of 2 living near Seattle, WA. I am wife to my amazing husband, Kam, and dog-mom to Kepler. I was bitten with the travel bug on my first trip to France with my mom at age 18, and haven’t wanted to stop traveling since.
What will I write about?
- Traveling with kids and families – both around home (the US) and abroad – the highs, lows, and everything in between
- Traveling with special needs – specifically Type 1 Diabetes and Food Intolerances (dairy, gluten….more TBD)
- Travel planning – really, this is my passion, so I will share info on future travel ideas that I dig up
Background
- In another life I was an elementary school teacher (though all of my students have graduated college now!) and a Product Developer for educational materials.
- I grew up in several different states but consider the Eastside of Seattle home. As an adult, I have lived in Washington State, France, Arizona, and Southern California.
- These days you are most likely to find me helping out in my kids’ classrooms, doing yoga, skulking around the local college campus to “refresh” my French, and reading anything and everything I can get my hands on about our next vacation.
I embrace any opportunity to hit the road or skies with my family and am excited to share these “nuggets” with you. I want to share our travel/life experiences to help others have amazing journeys around this world. Travel really opens the eyes and hearts and makes the world seem like a smaller place indeed.
